When asked about their favorite Southwest Institute of Healing Arts instructors, many students exclaim “Linda Bennett!” without hesitation. Linda Bennett, Queen of Hearts, and Certified Clinic Hypnotherapist, is a Senior Curriculum Specialist and the Hypnotherapy Program Director for SWIHA’s On Campus and Online Hypnotherapy programs. Linda is also a Board Certified Hypnotherapy Instructor and Certifying Examiner as well as a Certified Life Coach. She has almost 30 years of experience in the fields of Higher Education Development and Corporate Training. Linda’s passion is making learning a comprehensive and fun experience that is engaging to all students, whatever their learning style.
“I fall more in love with the work every day,” proclaims Linda Bennett, “I have been involved in this field for over 25 years and I’ve seen incredible transformation occur through the use of this modality.” Linda continues, “I have seen time and time again the changes that are facilitated through the process of hypnosis. I have seen people blossom in ways even they hadn’t expected. I have also seen students become amazing professional practitioners helping others find healing.”
Throughout the years, Linda has received many awards for her hard work and contributions to the field of Hypnotherapy. Here is the most up to date list of all the awards Linda has received:
● 2023 - IMDHA Life Fellow in Hypnotherapy for contributions in the field of Hypnotherapy.
● 2022 - NATH Life Time Achievement Award.
● 2022 & 2017 - IMDHA Chapter of the year award.
● 2014 - International Medical & Dental Hypnosis Association Educator of the Year.
● 2011 - National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists Outstanding Clinic Contribution Award.
● 2005-2006 - Outstanding Creativity in the Classroom by the Arizona Private Schools Association.

At SWIHA, there are two Hypnotherapy programs, the 100 hr Hypnotherapy Certificate (online and on-campus) as well as the 350 hr Advanced Professional Hypnotherapy Certificate (online and on-campus). The 100-hour certificate is designed for personal enrichment and self-empowerment, as well as for gaining additional skills needed to fortify or enrich current Holistic Healthcare Practitioners’ professional practices. Our Advanced Professional Hypnotherapy Certificate is a vocational-focused program designed for those who have successfully completed the 100-hour Certificate in Hypnotherapy and wish to deepen their skills and launch a professional practice.
Upon completion, of SWIHA’s 100-hour certificate qualifies students for American Board of Hypnotherapists (ABH) membership or National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy (NATH) membership. Students who wish to continue their training and move on to our Advanced Professional Hypnotherapy Certificate, will be eligible (upon completion) to take the certification processes for the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE) and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA).
