Meet Kayla O’Connell, founder of Mazy’s Garden, a business rooted in spiritual counseling, coaching, and metaphysical products. Kayla’s passion lies in guiding individuals through transformative journeys, helping them heal their minds, bodies, and souls as one. Her path to becoming an Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner and coach is as inspiring as the work she does every day.
Before beginning her coaching journey, Kayla worked in the criminal justice field while also nurturing her side business as a spiritual advisor. Though her work was impactful, she felt a deeper calling to help people heal on a holistic level. That desire led her to enroll in the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner degree program online through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA).
Why SWIHA? Kayla explains, “They had the program tailored for everything I was looking to study, and their mission matched my values and goals.” This alignment laid the foundation for her to blend her spiritual insights with practical tools to help clients find the missing steps in their healing journeys.
Kayla describes her approach to coaching as intuitive and personalized. She explains, “Coaching is about guiding people beyond the physical and giving them the tools and knowledge to heal their mind, body, and soul as one.”
Her business, Mazy’s Garden, serves as a sanctuary for those seeking guidance. She uses her intuitive abilities and deductive reasoning to identify her client's needs and tailor her approach to fit their unique journeys. Whether through Hypnotherapy, journaling, or energetic bodywork as a Reiki Master, Kayla’s methods empower her clients to uncover perspectives and solutions they may not have discovered on their own.
For Kayla, the joy of coaching comes from witnessing breakthroughs. “It gives me great joy to watch people break through their barriers and find the next level they’ve been looking for,” she shares.
Her advice for aspiring coaches reflects her own journey of growth:
Be open to healing yourself during the process.
You don’t know it all—and don’t need to. Embrace the evolution of your craft.
You don’t need to be perfect to be the perfect catalyst for someone else’s healing.
As we step into a new year, Kayla encourages others to approach their goals with consistency and practicality. “Stay consistent and take it one step at a time. Have a practical plan mapped out,” she advises.
Mazy’s Garden is more than a business—it’s a space for healing, growth, and discovery. Through her work, Kayla continues to inspire and uplift others, proving that the path to transformation is a journey of compassion, intuition, and unwavering support.
