“Before SWIHA I was a very broken wife and mom, numbing the pain from past traumas with alcohol and just doing what I needed to do to make it through another day. My self-worth had dwindled over the years and I had invested so much of my time and energy into raising my family that I had forgotten who I was. I especially began to feel called to SWIHA when I finally got sober from alcohol in 2020. Mindfulness and intentionality became cornerstones of my newfound healing. The further along I got into my sobriety, the more clarity I had on the life that was truly meant for me. I knew I wanted to help facilitate the same type of healing for other women seeking shifts in their overall mind, body, and spirit. It's incredibly empowering to reclaim your own health and rediscover your true identity - and to be able to hold space for women who are seeking that kind of transformation is a huge gift.”
Having gone through this journey of healing herself, Jaclyn Kutchinsky enrolled in Southwest Institute of Healing Arts’ Holistic Health and Wellness Coach program with a focus as a Mindful Meditation Facilitator. The power of mindfulness and intentionality really called to her and her purpose for helping others find their truest selves. Jaclyn shares, “The journey at SWIHA has had its peaks and valleys, no doubt. Yet when we finally got to start coaching real-life people outside of class is when I felt in my bones that I was on the right path. After my first real session with a client, I had this moment where I looked at myself in the mirror and I smiled so big, jumped up and down, and then burst into tears.” It’s one thing to sit in a classroom or take a class online and learn about the material, it’s another thing to practice what you have learned with real-life application. That feeling of finding this program and being on the right track to your life’s calling is really a meaningful moment, as it was for Jaclyn.
Now having graduated from her program, Jaclyn became one step closer to her dream of helping other women become a reality. “My life has shifted in significant ways since starting at SWIHA! I really wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it through my entire program, as I've always been that person who never finished what they started. Not anymore. I feel my self-confidence has improved tremendously. I have a significant sense of purpose, unlike ever before. I'm a business owner now!” Having the courage, consistency, and follow-through to finish her program at SWIHA, Jaclyn is now the proud entrepreneur and owner of her own business called Salt & Sōl Holistics, LLC. “Pinch me! I really never thought I was capable of something so tremendous. Personally, I am healthier than I've ever been. I feel balanced more often, and when I'm not, I'm not too hard on myself.” It is such a proud moment and a feeling of fulfillment to achieve something you’ve been working so hard for, and that’s exactly what Jaclyn felt when starting her own business!
Jaclyn has a huge vision for her business Salt Sōl Holistics and is thrilled to be serving women who want and are ready to reclaim their health (mind, body, and spirit). As she has learned various coaching skills during her time at SWIHA, Jaclyn is offering private one on one coaching services, as well as ‘S.A.L.T.Y.’ (Shift, Awaken, Love and Transform Yourself) Group Coaching, and Keynote Speaker services. “I came to SWIHA with NONE of the skills (besides life experiences!) needed to do any of this! And just barely a year later, here I am!” asserts Jaclyn.
“I think the greatest lesson I learned at SWIHA is that I am capable of doing hard and amazing things. I learned that I am not alone in my struggles of self-doubt.”
Jaclyn’s advice for any future/potential SWIHA students is, “Answer the call! If you feel pulled to study here at SWIHA, I encourage you to explore it further. My time here changed my life and my family's future.”
