This Saturday, Southwest Institute of Healing Arts is holding a celebration of Mind, Body and Spirit on the greenbelt next our campuses. This will be the twenty-third year that SWIHA has hosted the Holistic Health Gathering, and will also mark one year at our main campus’ new location! There is no charge to attend and this event is open to the public.
The Holistic Health Gathering will kick off with Yoga On the Green Belt at 9am, led by Will Zecco. Additionally, studio classes at Spirit of Yoga will be complimentary all day! You can view the class schedule and descriptions by clicking here. This is a great chance to try a new style of yoga, or introduce a loved one to the healing power of conscious breath and movement.
If you’re seeking to support local holistic businesses, there will be over fifty vendors offering their products and services. This is an opportunity to chat with entrepreneurs about their unique ventures. From handcrafted goods to healing sessions, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
1st Annual Arizona Massage Championship
As a new addition to the Holistic Health Gathering and a celebration of the artistry and beauty of massage, SWIHA is sponsoring the 1st Annual Arizona Massage Championship directed by John Sanders!
This three-round competition kicks off at 9AM, highlighting two categories of massage: Swedish Freestyle Table Massage and Chair Massage.
The deadline for LMTs to register for this event is Thursday, October 26th. The entry fee is $25 per Category (You may sign up for one or both). The grand prize for the Freestyle Competition is 100 Hours of SWIHA Classes ($1800 Value) and the grand prize for the Chair Competition is 50 Hours of SWIHA Classes ($900 Value). After the event, there will be be Floor Massage demonstrations (Thai and Shiatsu).
