At the heart of Holistic by Nature – Women’s Health is Clementine Coutantic, a dedicated Integrative Health Professional, Women’s Health Expert, and National Board Certified Health Coach (NBC-HWC). Clementine’s journey to becoming a health and wellness coach has been deeply rooted in her passion for empowering women to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and environments to achieve optimal health and well-being.
Clementine graduated from the Health and Wellness Coaching program at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in February 2024 and successfully passed the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) exam in July. Her decision to choose SWIHA was driven by its reputation as an accredited school offering in-person programs that prepare students for the official board exam. Moving to Arizona from abroad, she found SWIHA to be the perfect fit for her educational and professional goals.
Before incorporating coaching into her practice, Clementine was and continues to be, an Integrative Health Professional specializing in women’s health. Coaching has become an essential part of her work, enhancing clients' awareness, compliance, and engagement in their healing journeys.
For Clementine, health and wellness coaching is a collaborative and introspective process that empowers clients to discover their own solutions and develop creative strategies to achieve their wellness goals. Through self-awareness, autonomy, and accountability, clients make sustainable progress toward their ideal vision of health. “Coaching encourages clients to stay committed to themselves and their vision, helping them move closer to their goals,” she explains.
Through her business, Holistic by Nature, Clementine offers a 4-month integrative health program designed to help women lay a solid foundation for their health. Her coaching style is highly individualized, combining personalized sessions with a comprehensive toolbox of resources, including:
- Nutrition, herbal, and supplement recommendations.
- Lifestyle changes and therapeutic practices.
- Educational booklets and self-monitoring manuals.
- Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) testing to uncover imbalances.
Weekly 90-minute sessions focus on understanding biological markers, exploring key health topics, and using somatic techniques for mind-body regulation. Coaching sessions help clients uncover blind spots, address limiting beliefs, implement recommendations, and stay accountable. Clementine’s clients, often women over 30, seek support for challenges such as chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and sleep disorders.
Clementine incorporates grounding exercises and intentional opening rituals at the start of each session, helping clients transition into a state of introspection and creative thinking. She tailors practices to honor each client’s emotional state and unique needs, often using techniques like triangle breathing to support self-regulation. Over time, she helps clients identify the stimuli they respond to best—whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic—to ensure personalized and effective practices.
“What I love most about coaching is the collaborative approach,” Clementine shares. “It empowers clients to grow and challenge themselves to become healthier, happier versions of themselves.” Coaching allows her to involve clients in their own transformative journeys, building motivation and shifting perspectives. Witnessing these transformations is deeply rewarding for her.
To those considering a coaching career, Clementine’s advice is clear: “Start by doing the inner work on yourself.” She recommends hiring a coach or participating in SWIHA’s student coaching sessions to experience the process firsthand. This not only helps determine if coaching is a true passion yet also provides valuable insights into guiding others through transformative processes. “Be prepared to do the work on yourself first,” she advises. “Walk the talk.”
As the New Year unfolds, Clementine’s advice for achieving goals is simple yet powerful: find an accountability partner. Whether it’s a friend, family member, colleague, or professional coach, having someone to hold you accountable can make all the difference. “Take one step at a time,” she says. “Finding someone to support you in taking that next step can be the first milestone on your journey.”
Clementine’s work demonstrates the incredible impact of health and wellness coaching, offering women the tools and support they need to thrive. Through her integrative approach, she continues to inspire and empower her clients to achieve lasting health and well-being.
