“I had my own journey with wellness before SWIHA; however, learning here has really expanded my mind and elevated my growth with all of the tools and knowledge. I was led to SWIHA after becoming passionate about my own health and wellness journey, my mother's health, and wanting to expand my massage therapy practice to further be able to help others. I love all things holistic and feeling healthy! Helping others reach their wellness goals is very fulfilling.”
Nicole Kulchecki is a Great Graduate of the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts’ Holistic Health & Wellness Coach Diploma Program. Already having a passion and curiosity about Holistic Health, Nicole’s path to this program became very clear when trying to decide which program would be right for her. Aligned with SWIHA’s mission to share our Gifts & Graces, as well as, serve others, this is exactly what Nicole was destined to do, having the fulfillment of helping others fuel her journey along the way. Nicole explains she knew she was on the right path when “everything just started to flow naturally and align. I slowly learned tools that were good to have as a coach, which also helped me along the way. Even when I had moments of discouragement or was overwhelmed, I still felt good about where I was going and got inspired and lit up when thinking about my future and business plans. I just knew.”
Nicole has been a massage therapist at a spa for the last six years. Part of the original reason she came to SWIHA was to expand her offerings as a massage therapist. Meanwhile, Nicole is also planning on starting her own practice, offering detoxification services with massage and coaching. “Thanks to the business and marketing skills I have received here at SWIHA I am better prepared and know how to get started. I am always trying to grow personally for myself, my friends, my family, my business, and my future clients!” states Nicole.
Reflecting back on her time at SWIHA, Nicole shares that Suzanne Thomas and Sharlene Nordquist, along with their classes, were the most impactful to her as they really brought her out of her comfort zone. She explains, “They really took the time with us all to make sure that we had all of the knowledge we needed to confidently move forward. The group coaching classes were very beneficial in the practicing of coaching and gave us a lot of insight and feedback from our peers.”
“My life has changed in some ways such as my confidence growth, personal growth, and general health. With everything I have learned in my time at SWIHA, I have been able to learn how to better my life in all aspects and I have been feeling my healthiest and happiest since starting my time here. I am grateful for SWIHA and all of the instructors I was lucky enough to learn from. I am prepared to go out into the business world and continue my personal growth.”
Nicole’s advice for any future/potential SWIHA students is “My advice would be not to get too in your head about things being perfect, just keep going, implement the tools, learn to regulate emotions, and ask for help! Designate specific times and days for school work to be able to balance with your personal and work life.”
