“Before SWIHA, I was struggling to conform to societal standards. The corporate employee, ideal mother, independent woman, etc, and all these titles took me further from myself, what makes me, me. I didn’t realize it at the time, however, it became my passion to encourage and empower others to live authentically. The titles listed are important, however, they are not all.”
Societal expectations can weigh heavy on us. The “norms” or “status quo” may not be something we can easily relate to. Especially with social media these days, it can be very challenging to not compare yourself to others. “Am I as good a mom as she is?” “That person got a promotion because they are smarter than me.” It can easily go down a rabbit hole, leaving us feeling alone. However, once we find a community and circle we feel safe in, and can be ourselves in, our lives become enlightened and enriched in knowing that we are loved and can love ourselves for who we truly are. The defining moment, Aurelia Leano felt, knowing she was on the right path as she embarked on her journey at SWIHA was when she separated from the job she had once “given her all” to. Aurelia explains, “For years, I sacrificed family time to manage strangers and make profits for a company that would terminate me so easily. I realized that there had to be more purpose in life.”
Aurelia Leano is a great graduate of the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner Diploma Program, as well as the Intuitive Guide program. Having made the decision and life path change to leave her old career behind and embark on this new journey at SWIHA, Aurelia’s life was forever changed. “My life is simpler, happy. I trust in the universe and no longer live in angst or stress, utilizing my energy in that of progress and love” states Aurelia. “The greatest lesson I have taken from this education is that there is really no wrong answer or correct path. Each person’s struggles and triumphs have led them to exactly where they are. The magic and power come from the next step…what are we doing with this NOW?”
While reflecting back on her time at SWIHA, Aurelia recalls, “The teacher that I felt the most connected to was Corter and the classes I enjoyed the most were intuition centered. World traditions/religion and grief were the courses I dreaded, however, gained the most from them. Learning about the history of religions and their traditions opened my mind which had been closed due to past experiences with religion. 2022 was a year of great loss in my life and without the techniques and knowledge acquired with the sadder courses, I likely would not have survived.”
Now having graduated from her programs, Aurelia is working on creating a steady base of clientele and is enjoying sharing her gifts and graces with others at events and pop-up markets. Aurelia is open to any and all opportunities to grow her business! Aurelia is a Coach assisting many women to find their voice and courage to make the necessary changes to live the life they desire. In addition to hosting personal sessions, Aurelia also hosts workshops - sharing her knowledge and practices with others. Aurelia’s services can be found on her website!
For any future/potential SWIHA students out there, Aurelia’s advice to you is “Trust and believe in yourself. You are exactly where you are supposed to be.”
