Health and Wellness Coach, Jaclyn Kutchinsky, Helps Women Reclaim their Health and Rediscover Themselves

Posted by Jade Marvin on 4/13/23 4:00 PM

Before SWIHA I was a very broken wife and mom, numbing the pain from past traumas with alcohol and just doing what I needed to do to make it through another day. My self-worth had dwindled over the years and I had invested so much of my time and energy into raising my family that I had forgotten who I was. I especially began to feel called to SWIHA when I finally got sober from alcohol in 2020. Mindfulness and intentionality became cornerstones of my newfound healing. The further along I got into my sobriety, the more clarity I had on the life that was truly meant for me. I knew I wanted to help facilitate the same type of healing for other women seeking shifts in their overall mind, body, and spirit. It's incredibly empowering to reclaim your own health and rediscover your true identity - and to be able to hold space for women who are seeking that kind of transformation is a huge gift.”

I had my own journey with wellness before SWIHA; however, learning here has really expanded my mind and elevated my growth with all of the tools and knowledge. I was led to SWIHA after becoming passionate about my own health and wellness journey, my mother's health, and wanting to expand my massage therapy practice to further be able to help others. I love all things holistic and feeling healthy! Helping others reach their wellness goals is very fulfilling.”

Why SWIHA? The Benefits of the Path Less Traveled

Posted by James Patrick on 4/6/23 4:00 PM

When I was in high school, I was your average student with a good group of friends, good grades, and a pretty typical family life. I was not a “problem child” by any stretch of the imagination. Like many, I had classes in which I excelled and some that challenged me, where I’d often find myself asking, “When am I ever going to use this stuff?” My sophomore math classes come to mind and to this day, I’m still not a huge fan of numbers, yet I know the basics to get me through business and everyday life. I often questioned the traditional way of doing things because the simple fact is that I’ve always learned and viewed the world a little differently. I’m far from a traditional person so why would my education have to follow the exact same formula as everyone else? The truth is it didn’t and so, I actively sought out my options.

Lauren Allen’s Passion for Holistic Health Fueled her Coaching Sessions with Clients

What was your life like before SWIHA? What led you to SWIHA and to your particular program of study? Why are you passionate about this modality?

Before SWIHA I was working a full-time job that I wasn't passionate about, just something to help pay the bills while trying to educate myself on a holistic lifestyle, as it was something that peaked my interest. I love the fitness industry and am what you'd call a "gym junkie" however I wasn't impressed with many of the products that are advertised as "healthy" when in reality they are filled with additives that are synthetically made and cause havoc on the gut. I wanted to enroll in a program that had a focus on holistic health, and SWIHA was the answer. I ended up enrolling in the Holistic Health & Wellness Coach diploma program with the specialty of Whole Foods Culinary Specialist

For years, I have served as a resource to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started by journaling about my passions, thoughts, and wonderings about our world. I learned through reflection and introspection that I can't cruise through life without support, and neither can anyone else. I discovered that there is a profession around just that - holistically supporting humans!

Holistic Coach Janine McNiven Empowers Others to Live a Balanced Life with Whole foods, Grace, and Resilience

My life before SWIHA was very chaotic; I didn't have a lot of direction after leaving a high-demand religion. I struggled with mental health issues and found no sustainable solutions until I started to change my relationship with food, my body, spirituality, and myself. I started making some lifestyle changes on my own yet was hungry for more information on how to take care of myself, my mind, body, and spirit. When I found SWIHA, I felt really drawn to the holistic approach and how the balance of nutrition and mindfulness has a powerful effect on all three. I am passionate about holistic healing through food because the mind, body, and spirit are so interconnected and this is a great way to start discovering yourself and taking good, loving care of yourself.”

My life before SWIHA was and is a mystical - glorious journey! I am an entrepreneur at heart, with my own business as a holistic hairstylist. I was led to SWIHA during the shutdown in 2020 and found that I had an opportunity to add to my skills as a holistic practitioner. I had an interest in expanding my career into something new and exciting within the wellness space. I have many energetic gifts and wanted to incorporate more of them into what I do for a living. I felt that the skills I would learn with the holistic coaching and mindfulness facilitation program would be a good fit and the first step in creating my new holistic business. Health & Wellness Coach, Shaina Corrales, Shares How to Build Healthy Habits to Others on Social Media

Posted by Jade Marvin on 3/14/23 4:00 PM

Before SWIHA, life was a little out of focus and I felt a call to do something to help educate others about taking care of their bodies with nutrition. I had seriously considered a traditional course in nutrition at a community college for a bachelor's degree. I didn't see a good fit with that type of schooling and heard through a friend about this school's holistic nutrition courses. I am here because I see all the reactive actions people take in their lives to combat illness and lead a less-than-desired lifestyle, I truly wish to make a difference for the current generations as well as move forward to be a proactive society.”

Why Urban Farmer, Mecca Bey, Combines her Love for Nutrition with Coaching

Posted by Jade Marvin on 3/9/23 4:00 PM

My life before SWIHA was and is purpose-driven, which is why SWIHA was always on my path. I had been seeing advertisements for SWIHA about two years prior to me actually reaching out to sign up, I even had SWIHA send me a catalog of the courses. It wasn't until I started really wanting to know more about the food I grow that I said ‘Okay let me really look into this school.’ I chose my program of study because I wanted to have more education and knowledge about food and how it affects our bodies and our communities. I'm passionate about this modality because food is and has always been our future for how we see the world. It either brings us together or breaks us apart.”
